  Office Hours Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm  What's New    NOTICE TO PATIENTS – OFFICE RENOVATION PLANS Over the next several months, we will be preparing for an exciting transitional time at Aesthetic Dentistry of Collierville. Sometime near the end of March or the first of April of this year, construction should start on our office expansion and renovation project. In the spring of 2009, I purchased the office space adjacent to our current office in order to begin plans on expanding the office with the addition of three new operatories and supporting services in order to better serve our current and future patient family. As many of you are aware, two years ago I was involved in a car accident that resulted in me sustaining two severe neck fractures. While my recovery has been excellent, the physical demands of 26 years of general practice and this injury have caused me to rethink how I wish to practice my profession in the future. Within the next two years I plan on bringing another doctor into the practice to help me serve the Collierville and surrounding area by expanding our services, hours and days of operation. Over the past two and a half years, I have been heavily involved in the study of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dental Sleep Medicine involves the treatment of patients suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Disruptive Snoring with oral appliances to reposition the lower jaw forward and thereby open the airway. Beginning this year the focus of my studies will be in the area of Temporomandiblar Joint Dysfunction (TMD) treatment and the treatment and management of chronic headaches and other Orofacial Pain disorders. I am scheduled to attend a Mini-Residency program at the University of Kentucky and work with the doctors on the faculty of the University of Kentucky Orafacial Pain Center. In order for all of these changes to occur, we have realized the need for more space, an office design that provides for better patient flow and one that allows for the integration of all of the up-to-date technologies available in dentistry today. I know that this expansion and remodel project will create some challenges for both the staff and the patients of the practice. We ask for your patience during this process and we promise to make the experience as pleasant and accommodating as we possibly can. I want to personally thank each of you, our practice family, for all of your support over the years and for your patience and support during the upcoming months of renovation. I truly believe that you will each be excited by the changes we are making and that we will be able to better serve the dental needs of all you and the patients you refer to your dental practice. We will keep you informed of the progress on the new office here on our website and when the project is complete sometime in the late spring or early summer, we will invite each of you to an open house to tour the new office and all we will have to offer.
